Hi, my name is Antje Wilson and thank you for electing me as your North Vancouver School Board Trustee

I am a lifelong advocate for quality education and a strong start in life for our kids. Schools are community-building institutions that work to enrich and support our students to see them successfully achieve their goals. I listen to the community and support a school system that reflects local priorities, values and expectations. School district governance must be transparent, responsive, and collaborative. Strengthening collaborative and respectful relationships with teachers, staff and community members  improves decision-making and school district governance. I have the knowledge and passion to work collaboratively with all North Vancouver School District partners to reach these goals.

About me

I am civic-minded and volunteer in my community. I have lived on the North Shore for twenty-five years, and I’ve been involved in the community through my children’s activities, volunteer committees, and organizing community events. I was on the Ridgeway PAC for ten years, I have been chairperson for the City of North Vancouver Social Planning Advisory committee, a member of the City of North Vancouver Planning commission, and Director of DI, a youth organization, organizing hundreds of volunteers and teams in BC, and I have coached youth high school and club volleyball.

What I do

WORK

I am an event coordination and communications professional working in the infrastructure, construction, and education sectors. As General Manager of the British Columbia Construction Roundtable, I lead the planning and delivery of industry events, manage stakeholder relations, and support strategic growth and member engagement. I work closely with presenters, sponsors, and partners to coordinate logistics and create programs that foster collaboration and meaningful dialogue across the industry. I bring an entrepreneurial mindset to this work—focused on innovation, resourcefulness, and creating opportunities that connect people, ideas, and sectors in new and impactful ways.

I also serve as a School Trustee in North Vancouver, where I focus on good governance, community engagement, and long-term planning to support a strong public education system. In all of my work, I care about building connections, creating spaces for shared learning, and contributing to initiatives that bring people together with purpose.

EDUCATION

I hold a Master of Arts in Political Science from Simon Fraser University, where I focused on public policy, governance, and resource relationships, exploring how energy, transportation, and housing systems can be designed to serve people and place. My studies deepened my understanding of how effective policy design, Indigenous partnership, and inclusive engagement drive meaningful change. I have also completed professional certificates in Crisis Communication, Instructional Skills, Public Relations and Business Writing, and Public Participation (IAP2), which reinforce my commitment to transparency, inclusion, and public dialogue.
