Over the past four years, it has been an honour to serve our community as a school trustee and now as Chair of the North Vancouver Board of Education. I believe good governance begins with listening, asking thoughtful questions, and bringing people together to make decisions that are in the best interests of students.
Working alongside fellow trustees, district staff, students, families, Indigenous Rights Holders, and community partners, I have remained focused on supporting student success, strengthening public education, and planning for the future of our growing district.
During this term, our Board completed two school additions, opened the new Cloverley Elementary School, created additional childcare spaces for families, and continued investing in learning environments that help every student succeed. We are also expanding career pathways by supporting initiatives such as a new marine trades program, helping prepare students for rewarding careers while supporting Canada's growing shipbuilding and maritime industries.
Antje Wilson
Chair, North Vancouver Board of Education

I am a communications, governance, and stakeholder engagement professional who enjoys bringing people together to solve complex challenges. My work has focused on public education, infrastructure, community building, and public policy. Whether serving as Chair of the North Vancouver Board of Education or leading the BC Construction Roundtable, I believe the best decisions come from listening, respecting diverse perspectives, and working collaboratively.
The North Shore has been my home for more than 24 years. Through raising my family, volunteering, and serving our community, I have developed a deep appreciation for the role strong public institutions play in helping communities thrive. I served on the Ridgeway PAC for ten years, chaired the City of North Vancouver Social Planning Advisory Committee, served on the City Planning Commission, volunteered with Destination Imagination BC, and coached youth volleyball.
I believe strong public education builds strong communities, and I remain committed to supporting students, staff, and families while helping prepare young people for the opportunities of tomorrow.
EDUCATION
I hold a Master of Arts in Political Science from Simon Fraser University, where I focused on public policy, governance, and resource relationships, exploring how energy, transportation, and housing systems can be designed to serve people and place. My studies deepened my understanding of how effective policy design, Indigenous partnership, and inclusive engagement drive meaningful change. I have also completed professional certificates in Crisis Communication, Instructional Skills, Public Relations and Business Writing, and Public Participation (IAP2), which reinforce my commitment to transparency, inclusion, and public dialogue.
